Saturdays something make up edition

Welcome to Saturday’s Something, my time to take a step away from delicious food and recipes to talk about everything else! This week we’re talking all about my favorite things, specifically, my favorite make-up! I grew up surrounded by ladies who rarely left the house without their hair and make-up done. Needless to say, I picked up the same habit and love to try out a variety of make-up brands and products. I’ve got a few favorites that I’ve been using lately, and I’d love to share them with you!

  1. Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection
I bought this cute little palate of colors a couple of months ago, and it was my first time buying Too Faced I absolutely love the colors included, and I also love that they include little how-to cards that help me figure out how to apply the colors to get a variety of looks. I tend to like a more natural look and that’s exactly what this collection is all about.
Saturdaysomething too facedSometimes when I buy cheapy make-up, I have to use a ton to get the color to even show up. Not so with Too Faced. A little goes a long way, and it lasts all day long which is important to me. I don’t like to have to reapply make-up throughout the day.
  2. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil
Holy moly, do I love this! Either you love eye liner on yourself, or you don’t. I am one of those that feels naked if I leave the house without eyeliner. I have tried so many brands over the years and none compare to Urban Decay. Trust me when I say they aren’t paying me to say this! I just love it! It glides on so smoothly, and it lasts all day long! And you know how sometimes eye liner can cause “gunk” in the corner of your eye? I notice it FAR less with this stuff.
Saturdays something make upI used to be anti-pencil when it comes to eye liner, but this sharpens really nicely, doesn’t break, and I just love it!
  3. NYX – HD Studio Photogenic Grinding Blush
I’m sort of new to the NYX line. I just discovered it recently when I was shopping at Ulta. NYX is quickly growing on me. They offer a super affordable make-up line and so far, I’m really impressed with their products. This is the blush that I just started using. I really like the way it applies, and the color combination that I bought is really flattering for my complexion.

  4. NYX – Xtreme Lip Cream
When it comes to all things lip related, I can never have enough! I am a compulsive lip-gloss applier, and I always, ALWAYS have some type of color on my lips. Sometimes I’m a gloss girl, other times I like lipstick. I bought a more neutral color of this Xtreme lip cream and I love it! It goes on pretty easy, and lasts for quite a while. In some ways it reminds me of a cross between lipstick and lip gloss. And the best part? You don’t need multiple coats. One coat will do ya!

  5. Bare Escentuals Brow Color
I’ve always needed a little something to help fill-in my eyebrows. I’ve mainly used brow pencils over the years, but recently tried this Bare Escentuals Brow Color in medium brown. What I like best is that it has a natural look to it. Sometimes I can’t get the brow pencils to blend quite as nicely as this powder does. I tried it out at Ulta first before buying it, so I knew exactly what it would look like. It looks great!
