Fajita Veggies

Fajita veggies with peppers and onions are the unsung hero of any fajita recipe. This recipe will teach you how to make peppers and onions for fajitas!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 medium bell peppers, cut into strips
  • 1 large sweet yellow onion, sliced into half moons
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the peppers and onion - wash and dry the peppers and onions. Remove the stem and seeds from the peppers, then slice into thin strips. Peel the onion, then slice it into half moons.
  • Heat the pan - heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in butter. Once melted, add the peppers and onions.
  • Season - sprinkle the peppers and onions with salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce.
  • Sauté for 12-15 minutes, or until vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Remove the peppers and onions from the pan, and transfer them to a serving dish to be used as a topping for fajitas, burritos, tacos, etc.
