- 1 pound baby carrots
- Enough water to cover carrots
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Pinch of dried thyme optional
Add one pound baby carrots to a saucepan.
Add enough water so that the carrots are just covered.
Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the carrots are fork tender.
Drain the carrots, then return them to the pan. To the pan add in butter, brown sugar, and salt. Heat on low for a few minutes and stir to combine the butter and brown sugar mix together.
Season with ½ teaspoon salt and a pinch of dried thyme (optional).
