Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 ground chuck is recommended)
  • salt, black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • hamburger buns
  • burger toppings - lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup, mayo, mustard, etc.

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees.
  • Prepare the patties: place 1 pound of meat in a bowl. Add in Worcestershire sauce and use your hands to incorporate it into the meat.
  • Divide the meat into 4 patties then flatten each patty until it's roughly 5 inches across. Add a dimple/crater to the middle of the burger to help prevent the meat from balling up.
  • Generously season: season each side of the burgers with salt and black pepper or other seasonings of your choice.
  • Add the patties to the air fryer basket making sure to evenly space them.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until cooked to your desired doneness. The internal temp of the burgers after 8-10 minutes will be roughly 145-150 degrees. Make sure to flip the burgers halfway through. If using cheese, add it during the last minute of cooking.
  • Remove burgers from the air fryer and toast the buns if you wish. To toast the buns, air fry them for 2-3 minutes at 380 degrees.
