  • 1/3 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2/3 cup milk water can also be used
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • splash vanilla splash
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter optional
  • mix-ins as desired berries, nuts, chia seeds, bananas, etc.


  • Combine milk (or water) with oats, salt, vanilla extract, and butter in a deep microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave for 90 seconds - 2 1/2 minutes, or until the oatmeal is cooked to your desired tenderness.
  • Top with any mix-ins you prefer. Berries, nuts, chia seeds, sliced bananas, and cinnamon powder are all delicious)
