Maple Cinnamon Candied Pecans

Maple Cinnamon Candied Pecans are the perfect combination of sweet and crunchy. Make them as a snack or give them as a holiday gift!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups raw pecans or almonds
  • cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Cinnamon Sugar Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine pecans, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt.
  • *Optional - make cinnamon sugar for topping. Combine ¼ cup granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add nuts to the pan and cook, stirring often. Continue stirring and cooking the nuts for about 6-8 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the nuts are shiny.
  • Transfer maple cinnamon pecans to the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkled with cinnamon sugar if desired and allow to cool completely.
  • Store in an airtight container.
