Homemade Taco Seasoning
Homemade taco seasoning for 1 pound of meat is easy, flavorful, and budget-friendly! Skip the packet and make this!

chili powder

paprika

ground cumin

teaspoon
onion powder

teaspoon
garlic powder

ground coriander

dried oregano

black pepper

teaspoon
cayenne pepper

teaspoon
corn starch
Instructions
Combine all seasonings and mix well.
Cook the meat -
in a large skillet brown 1 pound of ground beef (or ground turkey) until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
Add the seasoning -
sprinkle the seasoning over the meat. Stir in ⅔ cup water. Stir to combine.
Simmer
- bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring until the liquid reduces and coats the meat in a saucy texture.
Notes
This yields about 3 tablespoons of seasoning which is enough for 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey.
