Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions

This recipe for sautéed mushrooms and onions is perfect for steak, chicken, pasta, and so much more!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms
  • 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Slice the mushrooms and onions.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat
  • To the pan add 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  • Add the onions and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the mushrooms and continue sautéing the mushrooms and onions together. Cook for about 5-8 minutes or until the mushrooms and onions begin to caramelize.
  • Season mushrooms and onions with salt, black pepper, fresh thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
