Ingredient Notes

This creamy dip comes together with simple ingredients and a few minutes of your time. It can be kept in the refrigerator to pull out when guests arrive or for an easy snack. Here is what you need, you can find the full recipe and all measurements are in the recipe card at the bottom of the post.

  • Mayonnaise: The base of the dip. I do not recommend using Miracle Whip.
  • Sour Cream: With its tangy and slightly tart flavor, sour cream contributes to the creamy consistency of the dip. It also adds a subtle tanginess that complements the mayonnaise. You could also use plain greek yogurt.
  • Garlic: The star of this recipe, fresh garlic adds the best flavor to the dip.
  • Garlic Powder: In addition to fresh garlic, garlic powder intensifies the garlic flavor in the dip. It also provides a more consistent and evenly distributed garlic taste throughout the dip.
  • Salt: and black pepper: Enhances the flavors of the other ingredients and helps balance the overall taste. Pepper adds a subtle heat and earthiness.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: The acidity of fresh lemon juice adds a refreshing citrusy flavor.
  • Olive Oil: A small amount of olive oil enriches the dip and contributes to its smooth and creamy texture.
  • Fresh Parsley: Finely chopped fresh parsley lends a vibrant green color and fresh herbal flavor to the dip. It adds a pop of freshness!
