Chocolate Pudding Parfaits – an easy parfait recipe with layers of chocolate pudding, a creamy cheesecake layer, and an Oreo cookie crust, all topped with mini chocolate chips or crushed cookie crumbs. Did I mention it’s a no-bake dessert? These chocolate parfaits are a win all around!
Without question, the Chocolate Lasagna recipe I shared with you all last year is the most popular recipe on CenterCutCook. Everybody loves it and for good reason! What’s not to like? It’s layer upon layer of chocolatey goodness! A close second favorite is my Chocolate Lasagna Cupcakes recipe. Because both Chocolate Lasagna recipes have been such a HUGE hit, I decided I’d continue the Chocolate Lasagna love and share my newest creation, Chocolate Pudding Parfaits — which is essentially Chocolate Lasagna in parfait form!
You are going to love this Chocolate Pudding Parfait recipe for a variety of reasons – they are easy to make, no-bake, look beautiful, and taste incredible. Let’s make them!
How to make Chocolate Pudding Parfaits
Here is a brief overview of how to make these easy chocolate parfaits – the full recipe including ingredient amounts can be found in the recipe card below:
- Prepare the crust – made with crushed Oreo cookies and butter.
- Place the crust in the parfait – divide the crust mixture among 9-10 parfait cups and press down firmly.
- Prepare the cheesecake layer – this layer is made with cream cheese, granulated sugar, Cool Whip and milk.
- Add the cheesecake layer – divide the cheesecake mixture evenly among the parfait cups.
- Prepare the chocolate pudding layer – to keep things easy, I use Instant Chocolate Pudding combined with milk.
- Add the chocolate pudding layer – divide the chocolate pudding among the parfait cups.
- Rest – allow the pudding layer to rest for about 5 minutes so that the pudding can firm up.
- Add the Cool Whip layer – spread the remaining Cool Whip on top of each parfait cup.
- Garnish – top with mini chocolate chips or crushed Oreo cookies.
Tips and Variations for Chocolate Pudding Parfaits:
- Use clear plastic tumblers – if you do not have cute little glass parfait glasses, go ahead and use the 9 ounce clear plastic tumblers that you can find at most stores.
- Chill before serving – allow the pudding parfaits to chill in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.
- Crust Variations – use graham cracker crumbs in place of the Oreo crumbs for the crust layer or try vanilla pudding instead of chocolate pudding
- Garnish Variations – instead of mini chocolate chips, try garnishing these parfaits with crushed Oreo cookie crumbs or chocolate curls.

Chocolate Lasagna Parfait
Ingredients
- 1 package regular Oreo Cookies – about 36 cookies – you will use the whole cookie including the cream filling
- 6 Tablespoons butter melted
- 8 ounce package cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons cold milk
- 12 ounce tub Cool Whip divided
- 15.6 ounces Chocolate Instant Pudding
- 3 1/4 cups cold milk
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 10 parfait cups – you can use clear plastic cups – the 9 ounce tumblers work best
Instructions
- Crush 36 Oreos with your food processor. Alternatively you can put them in a gallon sized ziplock bag and use a rolling pin or other heavy object. You will get the best result with a food processor though.
- In a medium sized bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with 6 tablespoons melted butter.
- Divide the Oreo/butter mixture among the 10 parfait cups and use your fingers to press it down firmly.
- With your mixer, beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Then add in 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar and mix well. Divide this mixture among the 10 parfait cups, spreading it over the Oreo crust.
- In a bowl, combine the chocolate instant pudding with 3 and 1/4 cups cold milk. Whisk for several minutes until the pudding begins to get thicker. Divide the pudding among the 10 cups, spreading it on top of the cream cheese layer. Let the Chocolate Lasagna cups rest for about 5 minutes. During the this time the pudding will firm up a bit more.
- Spread the remaining Cool Whip over each parfait, then top with mini chocolate chips.
- Place the Chocolate Lasagna parfait cups in the refrigerator for about 4 hours or the freezer for about 1 hour before serving.
- Enjoy!
