Easy Valentine’s Day Oreo Balls (Truffles)

Do I really need another no-bake dessert recipe in my life? After all, I’ve got my No-Bake Cheesecake Bites and No-Bake Cheesecake with Oreo Crust recipes that I turn to time and time again, however…

The answer is yes, yes I do. Of course I do! I can never have enough no-bake dessert recipes. Especially an easy recipe like these Oreo Balls (Truffles). They are the perfect no-bake dessert to make for Valentine’s Day, when it’s all about the sweet treats and you want something quick and easy to make for your loved ones.

I’ve been making Oreo Balls for at least the last 20 years. They are similar in taste and texture to my ever-popular Cake Balls, except these are much easier and faster to make because there’s no baking a cake involved. Truth be told, I don’t love baking. I like it, but I’d choose cooking dinner over baking a cake any night of the week.

Why you’ll Love this Recipe:

  • Only 3 ingredients: Oreos, cream cheese, almond bark/chooclate for dipping
  • No-Bake
  • Customizable – decorate with sprinkles or drizzle with chocolate!

By the way, Amazon has a fun selection of Valentine’s Sprinkles if you need some! These cute little heart sprinkles are my fave!

With Valentine’s Day coming up, you have every good reason to make these for yourself and/or the favorite people in your life.

Let’s go make some Oreo Balls!

crush the Oreos

A food process is helpful for this. Alternatively, place the Oreos in a zip-lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin or another hard, firm object.

add in cream cheese

Mix up the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese and blend until a dough forms.

roll into balls

Place rolled balls on a parchment lined baking sheet then pop ’em in the freezer to firm-up.

dip ’em

I prefer to use almond bark candy coating, but you can also use candy melts or chocolate chips. I use a fork as my dipping tool to help coat the Oreo Balls evenly.

Decorating Tip

Important! If you’re adding sprinkles, be sure to decorate each Oreo ball right after dipping it. The chocolate hardens quickly, and once it sets, the sprinkles wonโ€™t stick. I like to dip one, decorate it immediately, then move on to the next.

decorate

Place dipped Oreo Balls on a parchment lined baking sheet and add sprinkles immediately before the chocolate sets. You can also drizzle colored candy melts on top of each Oreo Ball (something like these light pink candy melts is fun and festive for Valentine’s Day!).

Wrap up these Valentine’s Oreo Truffles in a cute little box or place them in mini cupcake liners for the perfect presentation. As always, if you make this or any of my other recipes, take a picture and tag me on social media. Or, leave a comment below. I love to hear from you!

  • 15 ounces Oreo Cookies, finely crushed (about 36 cookies)
